摘要: This manuscript reports on the binding of fluorescent polyanionic probes to various generations amine-terminated poly(amidoamine) dendrimers (G3–G6) in buffered aqueous media, monitored through optical spectroscopy. These processes were used as a tool investigate how structural features guest (e.g. charge, electronic structure and hydrophobicity) influence process. Our results provide an initial understanding nature fundamental intermolecular interactions involved when these interesting highly regular water-soluble hyperbranched polymers function supramolecular hosts. Electrostatics was found be major driver process, but solvation effects cation–π also play significant role processes.
