摘要: Transgenic animals can be made to express self-reactive antigen receptors by constructing heritable genetic modifications of their germline. The development transgenic technology has been used learn about the pathogenic role and regulation autoreactive B T lymphocytes. Examples highlighted here include T-cell that contribute T-cell-mediated diabetes mellitus B-cell against facultative or obligate self antigens are regulated anergy clonal deletion. An unexpected finding was discovery receptor editing in cells expressing site-directed, antideoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) receptors. In these cells, products further immunoglobulin gene rearrangements displace receptor. Notably, same anti-DNA participate an autoimmune response, if transgene is backcrossed on background. Because analysis led many exciting discoveries it likely will remain front centre immunology research for years come. Keywords: B-cell development; allelic exclusion; autoimmunity; antigen receptors; microinjection; receptor
