摘要: article i nfo Many molecular epidemiological studies were carried out in recent years to assess the association between MTHFRC677Tpolymorphismandmigraineriskindiversepopulations.However,theresultsremaincontroversial rather than conclusive. The objective of this study was investigate role C677T MTHFR polymorphism migraine pathogenesis. We performed a meta-analysis published case-control concerning and migraine. Pooled ORs established using both random fixed effects models. This on 17 with 8903 cases 27,637 controls showed that allele 677T associated significantly increased risk total Asians (TT vs. CT + CC: OR = 1.62, 95% CI: 1.13-2.32, PH =0 .573,I 2 0.0%; T C: 1.18, 1.00-1.40, .147,I 44.1%). Similar results also presented Asian populations MA 1.11- 3.75; TT 2.00, 1.01-3.95; 1.31, 1.02-1.69) without significant heterogeneity. conclude polymorphism, responsible for reduction activity folate metabolism, may act as genetic susceptibility factor migraine, particular among subjects descent.
