Performance of reinforced recycled aggregate concrete beams in flexure: experimental and critical comparative analysis

摘要: The necessity of sustainable approaches in the construction sector persuades researchers to utilize recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) extracted from waste concrete and study performance structural members by substituting natural (NCA) with RCA. In present context, flexural RAC beam was examined on fourteen numbers beams completely replacing NCA RCA using four different longitudinal reinforcement ratios (ρ) 1.61, 1.31, 0.75 0.42%. order improve quality RAC, particle packing method (PPM) mix design approach employed along two stage mixing (TSMA). improved mechanical properties owing combined effect PPM TSMA are also translated even at 100% use A maximum reduction 35, 4 5% cracking load, yield load ultimate respectively, observed as compared conventional beams.
