摘要: Abstract Olive (Olea europaea) is one of the most important fruit species in Mediterranean basin, where 95% world’s olive orchards are planted, and it has become an economically valuable crop worldwide, due to increasing interest oil for human consumption. New being planted outside Mediterranean, calling effort identify genotypes best adapted new conditions. However, some cultivars remain difficult propagate, which significantly reduces capacity use full genetic diversity species. Improving rooting ability cuttings from recalcitrant a critical topic, implies fundamental research on anatomy, physiology, biochemistry genetics adventitious root formation process. Besides, existence different behaviors among also makes candidate model plant these studies. propagation techniques evolved through time field- or nursery-planted hardwood cuttings, semi-hardwood greenhouses under mist, and, more recently, vitro culture techniques. Nevertheless, about carried each method was mostly based trial error approaches. Researchers have mainly investigated factors involved process by testing their effect cultivars, leading high dispersion fragmentation available information. The goal this review present relevant results achieved aiming provide integrated perspective current knowledge.
