摘要: Hybridisation between animals that breed once (e.g. dingoes) and twice domestic dogs) annually may produce offspring either way. This question was investigated by determining the breeding seasonality of female dingo–dog hybrids in south-east Queensland, Australia, through evaluating macroscopic histological features 71 reproductive tracts. All were sourced from urban areas where levels hybridisation are generally high. Most trapped summer pups less than 6 months age. A peak uterus diameter weight coincided with a corpus luteum winter. The follicular phase characterised growing follicles, ~1–3 mm wide, late autumn. Only two (1.4%) showed out-of-season cycles: one found another Our data clearly show have single annual season winter, exhibiting same as dingoes. findings similar to those New Guinea singing dog. Future studies should be conducted understand exploit mechanism drivers develop more effective management their populations.
