摘要: Located in northeastern South Africa the Kruger National Park, wild-dominated faunal assemblages at Le6 and Le7 allow for a site-level examination of treatment wild species within highly variable spectra Early Iron Age animal use. Looking hunting beyond pure subsistence choices, this paper couples traditional morphological analysis with taphonomic theoretical frameworks intensification to ask new socially focussed zooarchaeological questions these assemblages. Through this, both procurement processing methods utilized are identified significance choices is discussed. In so doing, addresses possible specialization large mammals.
