摘要: In this paper the features of propagation intense relativistic beams are discussed in environment low‐density (≲1 Torr), partially ionized gas. Beam phenomena ion‐focused regime (IFR) found to be analogous those at much higher density. Several instabilities and dissipative mechanisms have been identified compared their high‐density counterparts. Scaling laws derived for quantitative estimation these effects. general, it is that long distances possible laboratory suggesting may useful controlled beam transport conditioning.
