摘要: The prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in 84 free-range chickens (34 from the northern Parastate, and 50 Rio Grande do Sul, southern state) Brazil, South America was determined. Antibodies to T. were assayed by modified agglutination test (MAT), found 39 (46.4%) with titers 1:10 one, 1:20 two, 1:40 four, 1:80 seven, 1:160 five, 1:320 six, 1:640 eight 1:1280 six. Hearts brains 45 or less pooled fed two gondii-free cats. higher bioassayed mice. Feces cats examined for oocysts. One cat tissues 31 than Sul shed isolated bioassay mice 33 MAT higher. All infected 10 isolates died toxoplasmosis. 34 (15 Para ´, 19 Sul) genotyped using 11 genetic markers including SAG1, SAG2, SAG3, BTUB, GRA6, c22-8, c29-2, L358, PK1, a new SAG2 Apico. Eleven genotypes revealed Paraisolates seven Sul. No genotype shared between geographical locations. These data suggest that are highly diverse genetically distinct different regions Brazil 3500 km apart. # 2006 Elsevier B.V. rights reserved.
