摘要: To support the North American Energy Working Group's Expert Group on Efficiency (NAEWG-EE), USDOE commissioned Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards Program (CLASP) to prepare a resource document comparing current standards, labels, test procedure regulations in Canada, Mexico, United States. The resulting reached following conclusions: Out of 24 energy-using products for which at least one three countries has energy efficiency regulations, -- refrigerators/freezers, split system central air conditioners, room conditioners have similar or identical minimum performance standards (MEPS) countries. These same products, as well three-phase motors, procedures throughout region. There are 10 with different MEPS procedures, but short-term potential develop common MEPS, and/or labels. Three other noteworthy areas where possible initiatives harmonization standby losses, uniform endorsement new standard label windows. This paper explains these conclusions presents underlying comparative data.
