摘要: Humans tend to exhibit rather consistent biases when cognitively processing information. In a gaming environment, these can affect participation in games of chance. The availability bias reduces complex probalistic judgments simpler ones through the ease which relevant instances be brought mind. representativeness improperly attributes characteristics an entity or process based on evidence received limited setting. Biasing factors appear affected by individual differences and situational factors. effect gambling may manifest itself terms duration play, money played, satisfaction dissatisfaction with play. Implications for treatment pathological gamblers are discussed.
