摘要: Degradation lowers the bed of an alluvial channel over a long reach. This has effect increasing bank heights and angles, which decreases stability banks with respect to mass failure under gravity. As degradation proceeds, height attains limiting or critical value fails, usually by slab-type mechanism. tends limit further degradation, thrust instability switching from depth width enlargement. In this paper new analysis is outlined tested against field data Long Creek, Mississippi. The shown predict accurately geometry banks. applications in engineering/geomorphic studies degradational streams are considered.
