摘要: The effects of large doses morphine in nontolerant and tolerant rats as well the abruptly withdrawing experimentally addicted to have been studied on body weight, temperature, metabolic rate, respiratory water consumption various forms motor activity behavior. In confirmation many early reports, tolerance develops certain depressant actions rat are primarily excitatory, consisting an increase rate activity. abstinence syndrome seems two phases: (1) An phase, which has called “primary abstinence” consists weight loss, increased number “wet dog” shakes, activity, a fall temperature rate. primary becomes clearly manifest within 8 16 hours following last dose persists for approximately 72 hours. (2) secondary emerges thereafter rapid gain elevated consumption. is protracted small differences seen between control animals long four six months after withdrawal morphine.
