摘要: Diabetes is a growing global problem and heavy financial burden on health care services. It estimated that over 380 million people suffer from this condition which causes many deaths each year in addition to being associated with increased risk of other problems. Traditional medicine promising area research diabetes therapy as it widely accessible believed 200 plants have anti-diabetic properties including members the cucurbit family. Studies animal human models shown treatment some cucurbits has hypoglycaemic effects stimulates beta cell regeneration are equal commonly prescribed drugs. also been at least one bioactive components stimulate these polysaccharide.
