Chlorophyll a and its derivatives in recent sediments of the southern Baltic Sea collected in the years 1992-1996

摘要: Determinations of chlorophyll a and its derivatives (chlorins) as well chlorophylls b, c β-carotene in recent sediments (0–10 cm) the southern Baltic Sea carried out years 1992–1996 are compiled. Correlations concentrations chlorins with parameters such origin sample, oxygen near-bottom waters (literature data) organic carbon were analysed respect to chlorins’ utility environmental markers. Comparison concentration levels literature results proves that these compounds sensitive markers primary production overlying (taking local water currents into account) conditions. Moreover, together other sedimental pigments, they prevailing plankton classes adjacent waters, valuable indicators average composition supplementary biological determinations.
