摘要: Magnetic moments have in general provided substantial information on the microscopic structure of nuclear states. Advances technology made it possible to measure, with reasonable accuracy, magnetic states lifetimes order picoseconds or less. Improvements over last decade involve all experimental aspects ranging from availability a wide variety stable and radioactive beams, realization highly segmented, high resolution detector arrays. A understanding hyperfine interaction between ferromagnetic environment which they interact has not yet been reached. Nevertheless, elegant applications new techniques allowed measurement many that were accessible previously. Such measurements shown how these vary energy, spin temperature specific nuclei, across isotopic chains. New results, turn, placed stringent constraints theoretical calculations. The technical advances selected highlights relevant periodic table are described this review. Recent examples transient field recoil-in-vacuum beam presented.
