摘要: This study investigates the reproductive periodicity and output of seagrass Zostera novazelandica on two intertidal reefs. Peak numbers flowering shoots occurred during March (late summer) years at both sites no winter months July to September. There were greater in patches low zone (up an average 55 per 0.1 m2) compared middle 20 upper 9 zones, about three times associated with tidepools those not bordering tidepools. The number inflorescences shoot was 3.1 (±0.25) one site vs 1.2 (±0.08) other, showed a progressive decrease from lower shore shore. Patches had twice (2.8 ± 0.24) than (1.5 0.16). highly correlated leaf width, length, ramet density, while leaf-area index decreased effort plants, as measured by percent biomass invested peak reproduction, significantly different between sites, tidepool associations, level. For all variables measured, there considerable spatial variation, significant interaction terms most factors investigated. In laboratory experiments, more produced light intensities 30 300 μE m−2 s−1 100 s−1. At salinity 17‰, 1.5 × flowers 33‰, none formed 70‰. Plants cultured 5 °C 15 °C, 25 °C.
