摘要: Abstract Objective To report the findings of influenza surveillance programme from Union territory Puducherry and to document clinical epidemiological data viruses over a five year period 2009 2013. Methods Respiratory samples were collected patients with influenza-like illness 2013 as part routine diagnostic activity. Detection pandemic A (H1N1) 2009, (H3N2) B was done using Real-time PCR. Results Of total 2 247 during study 287 (12.7%) 92 (4.0%) positive for respectively. subset 557 these also tested 24 (4.3%) positive. Significantly higher positivity rate both observed in adults when compared children. The peak followed by 2012, while that more uniformly distributed exception 2012. Overall mortality due 7.6% it 1% (H3N2).
