摘要: Using ethnographical methods, this thesis examines the prevalence and character of an occupational culture among patrolling police in terms frames reference, conduct attitudes, a which overrides or is opposition to official mandate force. It suggested that should not be regarded as homogenous but seen describing continuum from legalistic more autonomous perspective. The perspective founded on social police. approach other hand independent power with clearly partisan interest defending often idealised segment society loosely termed ”the general public” by fighting alleged troublemakers criminals. This partisanship legitimises what considered ”real work”. primarily involves dealing crime within officers’ area competence, clear boundaries between right wrong. work” can linked another term perspective:”practical includes procedures where immediate results are emphasised at cost legally and/or institutionally imposed working practices, special ”police eye” for different (deviant) therefore threatening, relative independence relation code laws, use repressive powers maintain respect finally mutual silence policemen.
