摘要: Chordomas are the most common primary malignant tumor of mobile spine and sacrum. Although considered not to possess significant metastatic potential, such lesions locally aggressive, leading neurologic compromise lytic destruction bone. En bloc resection has afforded patients greatest chance local control disease-free survival. Such radical resections may be associated with surgical morbidity, however. generally resistant radiation therapy chemotherapy, recent advances in photon proton use monoclonal antibodies provide improved outcomes for poor candidates tumors that recur after surgery.
