摘要: This paper won the 2004 Revenue Management and Pricing Section Historical Prize awarded by INFORMS. Written in 1972, it describes early work on applying mathematical models to development of revenue management airline industry. It methods passenger forecasting control — introduces idea maximising received a particular flight, rather than number passengers carried. is considered seminal field management, establishes foundations for many yield which have been subsequently developed. was presented at 12th AGIFORS Symposium October 1972.
