摘要: INTRODUCTION In the aftermath of Earthquake and Tsunami in Southeast Asia, many relief organizations sent medical aid to affected areas. OBJECTIVE The aim this paper is examine mix healthcare workers resulting from an influx Meulaboh, Indonesia, how they met local needs. METHODS Data were collected registration center for Meulaboh daily hospital meetings on needs available workers. RESULTS Prior Tsunami, there 14 doctors 120 nurses hospital. By third week after 21 surgeons performing 10 surgeries daily, >20 non-surgical 90-bed There <70 during month which was insufficient town number exceeded nurses, while public health comprised <5% CONCLUSION An initial disaster-coordinating agency, formed by United Nations (United Nations) conjunction with countries, should link actively organizations. This will optimize help meeting needs, direct where it needed most.
