摘要: Sterilization of explants while maintaining viability is a major task for those working in plant tissue culture. This usually accomplished through the use mercuric chloride or sodium hypochlorite. Due to environmental and health concerns, however, new disinfectants are desired. Chlorine dioxide an environmentally friendly disinfectant that has been used many purposes, though its culture not thoroughly investigated. report describes application aqueous chlorine disinfection yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) pomegranate (Punica granatum) explants. The threshold concentration obtaining high antimicrobial efficiency with was determined be 1.25–2.5 mM; from two species differed treatment. While remained at 1.25–1.67 mM dioxide, explant severely impaired all tested concentrations. level negatively correlated levels endogenous polyphenol subsequent free radical accumulation following Aqueous concentrations also suitable other low-polyphenol-containing such as rice (Oryza sativa), Pinellia ternata, Isodon amethystoides. work shows can effectively utilized alternative general.
