摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents the method and results of reaction substrates antimetabolites with Formylglycinamide ribonucleotide (FGAR) amidotransferase, which has been purified to homogeneity from chicken liver Salmonella typhimurium . It catalyzes a reaction, in splitting ATP ADP P i occurs. In carbonyl oxygen formylglycinamide is replaced by amide nitrogen glutamine or ammonia. The enzyme two separate but closely linked active sites: Mg FGAR react at one site, ammonia other. strongly inhibited relatively low concentrations inhibitor, particularly if were added before inclusion mixture. A study kinetics inhibition indicated that L-azaserine LDON exhibited mixed-type glutamine; it was competitive L-glutamine, irreversible inactivation ultimately occurred. absence glutamine, immediate could not be restored addition glutamine.
