摘要: In India, out of about 0.7 million miners, nearly 0.5 persons are directly engaged in coal operations. Radon and its progeny levels have been quantified the coal-mining environment Godavarikhani, Andhra Pradesh, India using solid-state nuclear track detectors. Seasonal mine depth variations radon recorded resulting identification locations with a high level as areas no mining activity, active operational zones return air ventilation paths. All these were below permissible levels. The average concentrations found to be 144±61 Bq m-3 20±11 mWL (working level) respectively two-incline mine, values for five-incline 315±71 30±9 respectively.
