Feasibility study for ballet e‐learning: automatic composition system for ballet enchaînement with online 3D motion data archive

摘要: This paper reports on ‘Web3D dance composer’ for ballet e‐learning. Elementary petit allegro steps were enumerated in collaboration with teachers, digitally acquired through 3D motion capture systems, and categorised into families sub‐families. Digital data was manipulated virtual reality modelling language (VRML) fit to an animated dancer. Movements segmented stored the archive be freely combinable sequences by algorithm automatic generation of enchainement conforming principles balletic aesthetics. In assessment system expert teachers only 8% automatically generated enchainements inappropriate lessons, 65% appropriate elementary level 75% rated as danceable students.
