摘要: The use of scientometric techniques can assist in evaluating the importance a subject, author or article, and also emphasize trends contributions discipline, scientist research group, institution country regarding world-wide scientific technological advances. We applied analysis to papers Thomson ISI database, order understand temporal phytoplankton research. From years 1991 through 2005, number articles on this topic increased. found 19,681 containing word “phytoplankton” title, keyword and/or abstract. Principal components (PCA) was used summarize changes focus published from 2005. keywords gradually changed, earliest indicating descriptive study, whereas recent (2000 after), became more diversified related aspects technology, genetics, evolution public health.
