Collaborative provision within UK higher education: perceptions of stakeholders of UK and Sri Lankan private colleges offering university degrees in business and management

摘要: Collaborative higher education refers to an array of different arrangements between institutions (HEIs) and other providers - private in the case this thesis. The main focus thesis is understand stakeholders’ perspectives on collaborative partnerships HEIs for-profit provision UK degree courses business management. Recent decades have seen massification HE. demand for HE has been growing significantly. But state begun disengage itself from financing thus their continuing funding under challenge. Market mechanisms introduced. can be as activity undertaken part increasingly marketised landscape. Management, staff such link-tutors, policy-makers quality organisations were interviewed: thirteen six Sri Lanka. Five former non-European Union (EU) college international students interviewed UK. Three groups conducted with non-EU UK. This exploratory study, which it not possible generalise, but findings indicate that: a. Non-EU choose study colleges because enables them acquire a at lower cost. b.
