摘要: The prevailing view of CD73 in cancer is that it overexpressed tumors and promotes progression by dampening local T cell-mediated immune responses. We recently found down-regulated poorly-differentiated advanced stage endometrial carcinoma compared to normal endometrium well-differentiated, early tumors. revealed CD73-generated adenosine induces a physiological response protect epithelial integrity carcinoma. ability the barrier not so different from its induce immunosuppression other responses cancerous tissues. In this commentary we examine complexity suggest "one size fits all" approach role CD73/adenosine no longer warranted. Given often hijack cellular responses, also provide consideration on how CD73s known function may have implications promoting tumor progression.
