摘要: Abstract The concentrations of organic carbon (OC) and elemental (EC) in atmospheric particles were investigated at eight sites four cities (Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen Zhuhai) the Pearl River Delta Region (PRDR), China, during winter summer 2002. comparison results was made order to investigate spatial seasonal variations. PM 2.5 10 samples collected on pre-fired quartz filters with mini-volume samplers analyzed by thermal optical reflectance (TOR) method following Interagency Monitoring PROtected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) protocol. During summer, average OC EC 9.2 4.1 μg m –3 , while those 12.3 5.2 μg m . Carbonaceous aerosol accounted for 38.0% 32.9% daily OC, EC, PRDR higher than summer. OC/EC ratio suggesting presence secondary aerosols. estimated carbons 4.1 5.6 μg m respectively. found be correlated (correlation coefficient r =0.82) ( =0.64), which implied that motor vehicle sources contributed ambient carbonaceous particles. distribution fractions first reported Asia, also indicated exhaust dominant contributor
