摘要: In this work, the removal of cobalt ions from aqueous solutions by carbon soot which is a very cheap industrial by-product has been studied. Its objective was to investigate possibility using instead high cost commercial adsorbent materials for solution. Different adsorption isotherms (Langmuir, Freundlich, and Brauner-Emmett-Teller) were applied. The rate constant (Kad), intraparticle diffusion (Kp), pore coefficient (D), overall reaction (K), equilibrium (Kc), activation energy (E) thermodynamic functionsG ◦ , H andS estimated. Also effect time, sorbent dose, initial concentration pH at different temperatures results interesting, indicating that capable removing cobalt(II) an time on larger than powdered activated carbon. Cobalt dependent. kinetics investigated as first order controlled spontaneous process.
