摘要: Coastal areas are exposed to many hazardous events often exacerbeted by the sea-level rise with its related effects. The knowledge of vulnerability make possible plan the actions aimed at reducing risk and promoting development a resilient community. In this frame, evaluation potential coastal area only due human presence is topic geo-spatial model proposed in work. At aim, dataset urban population last 200 years was used assess trend these two factors four indices: density, occupied buildings density surplus. indices communicate pressure men while surplus identify zones where accommodation measures, as land use changes, could be applied improve system adaptive capacity. This implemented both municipality censual administrative unit scales it well transferable other hazard, allowing comparison among regions. method case study Volturno plain (VCP), located north-western zone Campania Plain (Southern Italy): indeed, exposure natural hazards (coastal erosion, marine inundation, subsidence, salt water intrusion) coupled intense urbanization VCP good test validate methodology here proposed. evidenced low constant value growth achievement sill for after nineties, moreover greatest part districts close shoreline have high percentage total unoccupied buildings. These conditions concrete possibility change from wide sectors.
