摘要: Chronic shoulder pain is a frequently reported phenomenon in individuals who use wheelchairs as their primary means of mobility. No indices are currently available which detect difficulties performing daily activities due to discomfort largely independent population wheelchair users. The Wheelchair User's Shoulder Pain Index (WUSPI) was designed measure wheelchairs. A pilot index created and related difficulty during basic instrumental living. instrument administered 64 users at an athletic event. Analyses internal consistency interitem correlations were used revise refine the original instrument. Individual item analysis revealed that subjects this study experienced most when wheeling up incline or on outdoor surfaces, lifting object from overhead shelf, trying sleep, transferring tub washing backs. final 15-item shows high consistency.
