摘要: In this study, the causal impact of informal care provision to partner on caregiver's health is estimated, using a propensity score matching technique to account for bi-directionality relation between providing informal care and caregiver's health. Data from Survey Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) are used assess immediate eect of caregiving on health, as well longer-term eects up seven years after the provision. The results suggest that mental signicantly negatively aected by caregiving, but physical not. No evidence is obtained persistence caregiving after a time period 4 or 7 years.
