摘要: Stress fracture of the femoral component is a rare complication following total knee arthroplasty. We report one such which occurred 6.5 years after primary implantation an uncemented meniscal Low Contact (LCS) prosthesis. The affected medial condyle component, and large osteolytic lesion was present in underlying condyle. patient underwent revision arthroplasty with cemented constrained condylar knee, still place satisfactory result 12 later. This appears to be very rare, although number cases probably go unreported. From data available literature, it that stress fractures have predominantly condyle, fixed-bearing as well mobile-bearing knees. Different mechanisms may involved: specific design features implant, failure bone ingrowth components, osteolysis from particulate wear debris.
