摘要: LTE is a next-generation wireless network technol- ogy being developed by 3GPP. One unique aspect of that neighboring eNBs can be directly interconnected through X2 interface to facilitate direct exchange control messages and forward user data during handover. In this paper, we investigate the bandwidth requirement for both control-plane traffic user-plane traffic. We first consider case where individual UEs cross cell boundaries independently. then extend groups may simultaneously. cases, analyze needed on meet certain performance objective. Our results generally indicate very small compared S1-U bandwidth. However, potentially increase significantly when perform handover
