摘要: In a typical tort case in the United States plaintiff’s attorney receives his compensation form of contingent fee. Under this payment scheme gets share judgement if client wins and nothing loses. A common practice is to use sliding scale: one-third settled without trial, 40% plaintiff at 50% for affirmed on appeal.
