New titanium and zirconium initiators for the production of polylactide

摘要: Abstract Two new group 4 initiators based on N,N′-Bis(2-hydroxybenzyl)ethylenediamine have been prepared and fully characterised via multi-nuclear NMR spectroscopy single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The complexes tested for the production of polylactide. phenolate ligand to Ti(IV) generate β-cis isomer in solid-state. Whereas Zr(IV) isolated species (regardless stoichiometery) is a diligated complex.
