摘要: The present study was aimed to test a hypothesis that individuals with functional ankle instability (FAI) underestimate the joint angle at greater plantarflexion and inversion. Seventeen males unilateral FAI 17 controls (males without FAI) consented for participation in this IRB-approved, case-control study. Using passive reproduction test, we assessed position sense (JPS) positions between 30 -10 degrees an inclement of 10 or 20° inversion each angle. constant error (CE) defined as value obtained by subtracting true from corresponding perceived At plantarflexed inverted positions, CE values were smaller negative group than control group. That is, group, underestimated combined 30° We conclude amount plantarflexion, which increases chance reaching planterflexion patients' intention high risk situations spraining such landing. Key pointsJoint investigated utilizing test. The demonstrated only when positioned plantarflexion. The placed plantarflexion.
