Agricultural Land Consumption in Periurban Areas: a Methodological Approach for Risk Assessment Using Artificial Neural Networks and Spatial Correlation in Northern Italy

摘要: In periurban areas, the phenomenon of land use change is particularly intense, and it involves both natural agricultural areas. Agricultural areas have various functions, including environmental, cultural recreational. One nonproductive functions role agriculture in control. This paper analyzes risk a very densely popultated area Northern Italy, Milan Monza e Brianza area, using model based on artificial neural networks as weighting method spatial correlation clustering method. approach provides useful tool for decisional support relation to policies. The results highlight major risks related consumption specifically that most significant factors causing changes are those urban pressure, visualized by geographical information systems (GIS) map. irrelevance existing policies designed protect lands also highlighted.
