摘要: In the United States today, legally defensible data is needed for environmental assessments, waste characterization, and dose assessments. A closer look at raw interpretation of results can reveal other problems that affect usability based on project quality objectives. The common include following: incomplete sample dissolution, loss volatile radionuclides during preparation, difficulties in aliquot subsampling lack a sample-specific chemical recovery mechanisms, use an inappropriate mechanism, not using enough mechanism to obtain sufficient counting statistics result, gamma-spectrometry misidentification, incorrect abundances or intensities, separation isotopes prior alpha-spectroscopy analysis. These result estimation rejection results. Although most these be avoided, no improvement their frequency has been noticed over time. This paper written attempt call attention typical hopes contract laboratories as well government will review practices avoid problems.
