摘要: In this paper we discuss how thermo-chemical nonequilibrium models must be chosen to suit specific hypersonic flows. Current can very complicated, involving a large chemical kinetics model and many internal energy modes. Also, realistic flows have range of length scales, making them difficult simulate with computational methods. Therefore, it is important use that are appropriate; the should sufficient complexity capture relevant properties flow, minimum cost. Thus, there no single appropriate for all re-entry flows, more complicated may not useful because they make problem computationally intractable.
