摘要: Collaborative tagging systems have nowadays become important data sources for populating semantic web applications. For tasks like synonym detection and discovery of concept hierarchies, many researchers introduced measures tag similarity. Even though most these appear very natural, their design often seems to be rather ad hoc, the underlying assumptions on notion similarity are not made explicit. A more systematic characterization validation in terms formal representations knowledge is still lacking. Here we address this issue analyze several similarity: Each measure computed from social bookmarking system del.icio.us a grounding provided by mapping pairs similar tags folksonomy synsets Wordnet, where use validated distance characterize relation between mapped tags. This exposes features investigated indicates which ones better suited context given application.
