摘要: A century of conceptual and technological advances in infectious disease research has changed the face medicine. However, there remains a lack effective interventions poor understanding host immunity to most significant complex pathogens, including malaria. The development successful against such intractable diseases requires comprehensive host-pathogen immune responses. major advance past decade been paradigm switch thinking from contemporary reductionist (gene-by-gene or protein-by-protein) view more holistic (whole organism) view. Also, recognition that is composed complex, dynamic interactions cellular molecular components networks cannot be represented by any individual component isolation. Systems immunology integrates field with omics technologies computational sciences comprehensively interrogate response at systems level. Herein, we describe system toolkit report recent studies deploying systems-level approaches context natural exposure malaria controlled human infection. We contribute our perspective on potential for rational design improve global public health.
