Interdisciplinary shared governance: a partnership model for high performance in a managed care environment.

摘要: Today's managed care environment is forcing hospitals to seek new and innovative ways deliver a seamless continuum of high-quality services defined populations at lower costs. Many are striving achieve this goal through the implementation shared governance models that support point-of-service decision making, interdisciplinary partnerships, integration work across clinical settings along service delivery continuum. The authors describe key processes strategies used facilitate design successful an model University Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Implementation costs initial benefits obtained over 2-year period also identified.
