Coulomb Excitation into the Backbend Region of 164 Er

摘要: It has been demonstrated that multiple Coulomb excitation in an effective method for studying levels the backbending region. Members of ground band above backbend /sup 164/Er have excited. The ground-band B (E2) values obey rigid-rotor relation within +- 25%. A two-band mixing analysis shows intersecting bands remarkably small interaction matrix elements at backbend, i.e., <40 keV. This weak is expected rotation-alignment model. (AIP)
