摘要: Urochondra setulosa (Trin.) C.E. Hubbard is a coastal halophytic grass thriving on the dunes along Pakistani seashore. This could be useful in sand dune stabilization using seawater irrigation. The purpose of this investigation was to test hypothesis that Ca2+ (0.0, 2.5, 5.0, 10.0 and 50.0 mmol/L) alleviates adverse effects KCl, MgSO4, NaCl Na2SO4 at 0, 200, 400, 600, 800 1000 mmol/L germination setulosa. Seed inhibited with increase salt concentration few seeds germinated above 400 concentration. No seed any KCl treatments. Inclusion CaCl2 substantially alleviated inhibitory all salts. Germination higher under photoperiod comparison those complete darkness. Among concentrations used, 10 most effective alleviating salinity allowing germinate solution.
