摘要: Biodegradation is a cheap and environmentally friendly process that could breakdown utilizes heavy crude oil (HCO) resources. Numerous bacteria are able to grow using hydrocarbons as carbon source; however, HCO limited. In this study, degrading were isolated from an Omani field. They then identified assessed for their biodegradation biotransformation abilities under aerobic anaerobic conditions. Bacteria grown in five different minimum salts media. The isolates by MALDI biotyper 16S rRNA sequencing. nucleotide sequences submitted GenBank (NCBI) database. Bacillus subtilis B. licheniformis. To assess microbial growth of well-assay on agar plates, samples collected at intervals. determined GC-FID, which showed direct correlation with increased light (C12 C14). Among the isolates, licheniformis AS5 was most efficient isolate HCO. Therefore, used recovery experiments, core flooding experiments Berea plugs, where additional 16 % initially place recovered. This first report Oman field degrade transform lighter components, illustrating potential use recovery. data suggested processes may lead fields, if suitable medium optimum
