In-Situ Mobilisation of Residual Oil in Contaminated Soil — Development of a Method for Selecting Oil-Mobilising Surfactants

摘要: In the years 1984 and 1985, Battel le-Institute in Frankfurt investigated a presumably contaminated site on behalf of Landkreis Gifhorn. The wastes (mainly construction materials, domestic waste excavated soil) gravel pit contain complex contamination by light fuel oil, heavy aliphatic chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHC) polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) /1/. On top aquifer funicular soil slick covering an area about 5000 m2 with vertical extension up to 0.6 m was detected. groundwater pollutant plume length 1 km found, containing 10.000 ppm CHC.
