摘要: Abstract Purpose To report, with the aid of original imaging, an unusual differential diagnosis iris tumor. Observations A 60-year-old Caucasian man visited our clinic a large amelanotic mass in left eye absence concomitant extraocular inflammation or neoplastic evidence. The patient reported ocular trauma caused by wire 5 years prior to his visit, which resolved after short course antibiotic drops. Orbital magnetic resonance imaging contrast enhancement was consistent tumor; ultrasound biomicroscopy indicated semi-solid, mid-stromal formation continuous lens. Surgical inspection performed. Surgery showed presence hypermature cataract fine break anterior capsule lens covered surface. liquefied cortex infiltrated without diffusing into aqueous humor. Conclusions and Importance so-called morgagnian developed, likely following penetrating wound. progressive, slow infiltration stroma crystalline matrix mimicked appearance
